Legal Administrative Assistant:
Intellectual Property/ Commercial Litigation

The Tampa office of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property / Commercial Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to assist two attorneys and one paralegal.  Candidate should be highly organized, detail oriented, motivated, reliable, proactive and a self-starting individual seeking to challenge him/herself and develop a career in a supportive, team oriented environment.  The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, proofreading, typing and grammatical skills, be able to
handle large volumes of work and will work well under tight and shifting deadlines.
  Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Maintaining orderly client files; assist with billing; heavy paper filing, transcription, time entry and other general administrative duties
  • Experience in complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout Florida
  • Assisting with the preparation and service of pleadings; coordinating hearings, depositions and other case-related matters
  • Answering client inquiries and assisting attorneys with all facets of case handling and management

Preference will be given to candidates having a high school diploma or equivalent; 
excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word 2010, Excel, Outlook 2010 and Adobe Acrobat; knowledge of CPI and Omega; and intellectual property experience.

Paralegal - Sarasota

The Sarasota office of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is seeking qualified candidates with three or more years of experience as a paralegal for the firm's
Litigation Practice Group.  Experience with foreclosure litigation, real estate,
and/or bankruptcy is preferred.  Must possess excellent communication and
organizational skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office 2010.
