Chris Delp represents stakeholders in solar photovoltaic construction projects from the earliest stages of conception to commercial operation. Chris operates in the U.S. and Latin American solar markets, with particular emphasis on the Southeast United States.
Before joining the Solar Industry Practice Group at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, Chris served as in-house corporate counsel at a renewable energy construction and manufacturing company where he participated in numerous U.S. and Latin American wind and solar projects, as well as the day-to-day operations of the business.
Chris's legal, project-development, and business-development experience within the industry informs his approach to project finance, due diligence, and risk management--all with an eye to delivering the maximum value to the project's cost per watt.
In addition to project-specific representation, Chris represents solar companies in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and the many areas of law that impact their businesses.
Chris holds the degree of Juris Doctor with honors from Stetson University College of Law, where he served as an editor on the school’s flagship academic journal, Stetson Law Review.
