Heather L. Rogers joined Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP in 2010 and focuses primarily in the areas of health and corporate law. Heather has worked with a range of healthcare providers, including, large institutional hospitals, physician groups, pharmacies, and solo-practice physicians. She has experience with various aspects of a healthcare provider, including corporate compliance, medical staff matters, risk management, human resources, IT, and clinical affairs. Heather has experience with licensure and certifications, including, AHCA Health Care Clinic applications/renewals, Medicaid and Medicare applications/renewals, Florida Board of Pharmacy Permits, and DEA registration. Heather also has an understanding of the processes for creating corporate entities and their governing documents and also the maintenance of such entities, including their corporate books and filing of annual reports.
Before joining Shumaker, Heather completed an internship at the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office in Tampa. She completed her internship in the Misdemeanor Division in which she gained experience with completing discovery requests, issuing subpoenas, and completing task sheets for cases. She also attended a variety of court proceedings and became familiar with the case management system.
