Kim is a paralegal with the firm’s intellectual property group, working in all facets of the prosecution of domestic and foreign patents, trademarks and U.S. copyrights for over 25 years. In addition, Kim has experience with the effective transfer of intellectual property rights through corporate mergers and acquisitions. Her broad experience also includes conducting trademark availability searches, management of client’s portfolios using specialized intellectual property software, maintenance of issued patents, renewals of trademarks/service marks (both foreign and domestic) and preparation and filing of state trademark/service marks applications and renewals. Kim has extensive direct communications with clients, inventors, the United States Patent and Trademark Office and foreign law firms with respect to patent and trademark filings overseas.
Kim is a Florida Registered Paralegal with the Florida Bar and has served as an Officer of the Paralegal Association of Florida, Inc., Hillsborough County Chapter. She is currently Treasurer of the Paralegal Association of Florida, Inc., Hillsborough County Chapter, and has been a member for several years. At the state level, Kim was recently appointed to serve on the Paralegal Association of Florida's FRP/Florida Bar Liaison Committee to represent paralegals across the state.
