Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP has announced the opening of its fifth office, located in Sarasota, Florida, with the hiring of 29 attorneys and more than 40 legal professionals and staff most recently employed by Abel Band, Chartered. With this new office, Shumaker, a National Law Journal 250 law firm, increases its total number of attorneys to 215 in Florida, Ohio and North Carolina. Taken together with Shumaker's 60 attorney Tampa office, Shumaker now has 89 attorneys on the West Coast of Florida, making it one of the largest law firms in the region.
