PRESS RELEASE
TAMPA, FL – Michael A. Myers, partner in the Tampa office, participated on the Speaker Panel of the Intellectual Property Law Society and the Sports and Entertainment Law Society on October 19, 2009 at Stetson University College of Law. The panel discussed copyright and trademark law generally, and also how it relates to sports and entertainment.
Mr. Myers has more than 15 years of foreign and domestic patent prosecution experience covering a wide variety of mechanical, electro-mechanical and computer related arts. His patent law practice also extends to patent searching and clearance and provisioning of patentability, right–to-use, right-to-practice, and non-infringement opinions. In addition, he counsels his clients in IP and technology law regarding foreign and domestic trademark searching, clearance, and trademark registration. Mr. Myers also handles IP assignments, licensing, consent to use agreements, right of publicity and due diligence investigation.
Mr. Myers received his J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law and his B.A. in Chemistry from Indiana University.
