PRESS RELEASE
TAMPA, FL – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Ernie Marquart, Managing Partner of the Tampa office and a member of the Firm’s Management Committee, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the New Tampa Family YMCA. Mr. Marquart previously served on the Board from August 2001 to August 2007 and was Chairman from January 2003 to December 2006.
Mr. Marquart’s practice focuses on commercial and civil litigation and he has extensive experience in representing public and private corporations, partnerships, and individuals in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. He also has represented clients before the American Arbitration Association, NASD, governmental agencies, and in administrative proceedings. Mr. Marquart has regularly represented clients in a variety of cases involving commercial contracts; construction projects; real estate, health care management, and franchise matters; securities and shareholder disputes; and transportation, environmental, and intellectual property issues. He also has substantial experience in representing creditors in federal bankruptcy courts.
