TOLEDO, OH – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Scott D. Newsom, a Partner in the Toledo office, will be speaking at the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans' 55th Annual Employee Benefits Conference. The title of Mr. Newsom's presentation is "Policy Reviews." The session will review the policies and documents of multiemployer retirement and health and welfare plans and provide examples of necessary documents and significant provisions. The conference will be held November 8-11, 2009 in Orlando, Florida.
Mr. Newsom has extensive experience in representing clients on a wide range of employee benefits and ERISA issues, including plan design and qualification, compliance, correction, strategies to leverage benefits for owners and key personnel, and health and welfare benefits.
