TAMPA, FL – Gregory C. Yadley, Partner in the Tampa office of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, moderated a working group discussion for the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Government-Business Forum on Small Business Capital Formation on November 19, 2009 in Washington, D.C. Mr. Yadley also moderated the Plenary Session to develop final recommendations for presentation to the SEC. This Congressionally-mandated annual forum hosted by the SEC focuses on the capital formation concerns of small business. A major purpose of the Forum is to provide a platform for small business to discuss perceived unnecessary regulatory impediments to the capital-raising process.
Mr. Yadley has extensive experience representing business entities of all sizes, including closely-held and family businesses and large and small public companies. He regularly represents these clients in financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations and disputes, strategic planning, legal compliance and general corporate matters. He also has extensive experience in securities matters, including advising clients with regard to their private and public offerings of securities (including initial public offerings) and their ongoing disclosure obligations.

Chair of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick’s Corporate Practice Group in Tampa, Mr. Yadley also serves as President of the University Club of Tampa, and as a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of The Florida Orchestra. He has served as Chairman of Tampa Bay & Company, the Hillsborough County Arts Council, the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Tampa Alumni, City of Tampa Public Art Committee, Tampa Bay Business Committee for the Arts, Inc., and the Dartmouth Club of Tampa Bay.
