SARASOTA, FL – Jenifer S. Schembri, a partner in the Sarasota office, has joined the Board of Directors of the Sarasota Manatee Association for Riding Therapy. SMART has been in existence since 1987 and is a member of the American Riding for the Handicapped Association. SMART provides an all-encompassing horsemanship program that provides the participants with many physical, emotional and cognitive benefits such as an increase in physical strength and stamina, an improvement in posture, balance and coordination, and in increase in attention span and independent skills.
Also a Certified Public Accountant, Ms. Schembri practices in the areas of individual and business tax planning, entity formations, and all aspects of estate planning, including Medicaid qualification and the protection of assets from the cost of nursing home care. Working with corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, joint ventures, physician groups, healthcare professionals, and individuals and families, she is experienced in developing solutions to sophisticated income and tax planning, complex corporate structuring, business mergers and acquisitions, and financial transactions. Ms. Schembri is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Tax Law.
