TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Melissa A. Register, an associate in the Tampa office, will be presenting the Estate Planning and Probate Law Update at the Florida Law Update 2010, a continuing legal education (CLE) program taking place on June 24, 2010 at the Florida Bar’s Annual Meeting in Boca Raton, Florida. Ms. Register’s topics include the repeal of the federal estate and generation-skipping transfer (GST) tax in 2010, as well as recent developments in Florida statutory law and case law.
Ms. Register has experience in estate and trust planning, administration and litigation, as well as tax planning, premarital agreements, charitable organizations and corporate law. Ms. Register is a recipient of the Tampa Bay Business Journal's 2008 Up & Comers Award and has been recognized as a Florida Rising Star in 2010 by Super Lawyers® magazine.
