Board Certification is The Florida Bar's "Legal Expert" status and all Board Certified attorneys must have a minimum of five years in law practice, show substantial involvement in the field of law for which certification is sought, receive a passing grade on the examination for their specialty, satisfy a peer review assessment of their competence, and satisfy the certification area's continuing legal education requirements, and meet other stringent criteria set by The Florida Bar.
