A paralegal in the Health Care practice group in Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP’s Tampa office, Amarily is a nationally advanced certified paralegal through National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA), and she maintains the Florida registered paralegal designation through The Florida Bar. Amarily is also a State of Florida notary public.

Prior to joining Shumaker, Amarily worked at a hospital in the Tampa Bay area as a senior claims analyst in the risk management department. Her desire to help people and the realization that she could fill a niche in an industry with a lot of growth led her to become a paralegal. Amarily has a varied educational and work background, which includes real estate, business and accounting, and medical experience, analyzing medical records, drafting medical record summaries, and chronologies. It also includes more than six years of litigation experience in a broad range of practice areas, including medical malpractice, auto negligence, insurance defense law, workers’ compensation, professional liability, and tort. This extensive experience allows her to understand many different concepts and comprehend new projects quickly to more efficiently assist the client.

When not focusing on work, Amarily enjoys working on home-improvement projects, spending time with her family, and reading.
