Charles A. Wood, Jr. is in the Broker-Dealer Litigation Practice Group of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP. Charles focuses his practice on broker-dealer litigation and arbitration. He is a member of a team of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP attorneys who represent large financial institutions and high net-worth individuals in securities litigation and violations of contractual covenants. His practice also focuses on employment law, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, commercial litigation, and arbitration before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
At the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Charles was the Executive Forum Editor of the Florida Law Review and received the Law Review Book Award for his contribution as an executive editor.
Prior to attending law school and joining Shumaker, Charles worked in various management positions. At Boston College, he was the co-founder and president of the Word of Mouth Public Speaking Club and he also participated in the Emerging Leader Program. At the University of Florida Levin College of Law, he was the recipient of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship and the Levin College of Law Scholarship.
