Timothy C. McCarthy has extensive experience in representing employers in a wide variety of private and public sector labor relations and employment matters, including organizational campaigns and elections, contract negotiations, arbitration and litigation before the National Labor Relations Board, the State Employment Relations Board and State and Federal Courts, successfully representing employers in cases in the United States Supreme Court and United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He also regularly advises employers on a host of employment-related issues, such as discrimination matters involving federal and state laws, and ADA, FMLA and FLSA compliance.
Tim also represents a wide variety of governmental clients, including universities and school districts. He advises on the full range of public law issues, including sunshine laws, faculty tenure and renewal issues, student privacy and discipline matters and special education requirements.
Tim has been admitted to and appeared in the United States Supreme Court.
